I am a proud 30 year old Momma to my 8 year old blessing! I am a full time Professional School Counselor. Born in Washington, DC. I truly love the DMV and it will always be home! I recently moved to Waldorf, MD and I am looking forward to exploring Southern MD. I love Marvel & DC Comics, unicorns and any shade of purple except egg plant π€£
What does the word "Gallivant" mean?
π« To go around from one place to another in the pursuit of pleasure and entertainment.
Gallivant DMV launched in July 2020. Who creates a website/Blog about going places in a global pandemic? Me ! I wanted parents/friend groups to know about local gems, my experiences, and the βknow before you goβ points. Gallivant DMV is a resource and guide to experiences in the DMV and beyond.

With just a few weeks to go until the July 19 Primary, Iβd like to give my warm thanks to the supporters, volunteers, activists and allies who are powering this movement from the grassroots up. Thanks to you, our campaign is the frontrunner in this competitive race, and we remain closer to the finish line than any other candidate! Itβs been another busy week on the campaign trail for our team, and Iβm excited for the many more events we have to come.
On Monday, I had a wonderful time touring the Washington D.C. Temple of the Church of the Latter-day Saints in Kensington. For the next few weeks, the D.C. Temple is opening its doors to the public for the first time in nearly 50 years. I was struck by the beauty of this sacred space, and Iβd like to thank Elder Brady, Elder Calderwood, and Elder Barbera for their invitation and warm welcome. Maryland is home to many faith leaders and communities from all backgrounds, including over 45,000 from the Church of Latter-day Saints alone. As Governor, Iβll proudly be a champion and partner to all of them in the fight to secure a stronger future for our state.
On Tuesday, I spoke to the Maryland Association of Local Management Boards for their virtual meeting. The Local Management Boards collaborates with child-care agencies, providers, and families to coordinate child and family services. As Governor, Iβll make sure they have the resources they need to continue empowering our communities. Afterwards, I attended the Coppin State University Gubernatorial Candidates Forum, where I spoke about my bold vision for the future of Maryland. On Wednesday, I had a great time speaking with Sierra Club Maryland Chapter to discuss how Iβll make Maryland the first carbon neutral state in the nation, as well as a net exporter of renewable energy. I then attended a wonderful Meet and Greet with Maggie Holmes, where I had great conversations with voters about the future we can build together.
On Thursday, I attended the Maryland Association of Community Colleges Gubernatorial Candidate Forum at Anne Arundel Community College, where I spoke about the steps Iβll take to redefine the promise and possibility of state government in the years to come. I then headed to Annapolis to attend MBE Night and share how Iβll support our Minority and Women-Owned Businesses as Governor.
On Friday, I toured RADA USA, an innovative defense electronics company based in Germantown that contributes to our critical aerospace and defense industry. Later, I recognized Butler's Orchard for their contributions to our local economy and community. I then finished off the day by speaking at the Clagett Enterprises Anniversary Dinner in Ijamsville. Another successful trip to Butler's Orchard π
