The Butler Family announces with great sadness the passing of Susan Butler. After beating the odds for years, she ultimately lost her fight with cancer.

Susan was born and raised and devoted her life to agriculture in Montgomery County.

As a 2nd generation owner of Butler’s Orchard, Susan built the framework for what can be seen and enjoyed by their many visitors today.

She mentored generations of employees and brought memories & fresh produce to many farm customers.

Susan retired from Butler’s Orchard and she and her husband, Washington, opened and Waters Orchard

Susan was a very kind and generous soul. She provided love, care, opportunity, and inspiration to so many. She will be dearly missed.

It’s been a great season! We are wrapping things up with a final day of apple picking, will be serving delicious sandwiches and the cider will be flowing. Come help us bid farewell to the 2021 season!

This year we will be encouraging reservations for pick your own beginning Labor Day weekend!
