The only thing better than winning first place is standing right next to your best friend while they win first place, and watching their face light up when they realize it.

This is what 4-H and the county fair are all about. It’s not just about the ribbons, banners, or who walks out of the ring with a trophy. It’s about the friendships made in the barn, cheering each other on, and celebrating someone else’s victory just as loudly as your own.

These two reminded us that the greatest accomplishment isn’t always the color of the ribbon, it’s having someone by your side who’s just as excited for your success as they are for your own. These are the memories our kids will carry with them long after the fair is over.

It is with great sadness to inform you that our sweet Peppa has past away. Peppa was not only the first gilt we had on the farm but also the first one to have babies. She was the sweetest pig and was always so good with the kids. She gave us many great piglets throughout the years and will be very missed. RIP Peppa.
