We are experiencing a rather large learning curve over here with our flowers, and things are not as smooth as I envisioned them in my head back before starting this project! Throw in a baby that decided to come a bit early, and you can imagine our scramble to figure this out so everyone can come cut these beautiful flowers.

While this may end up being an experimental year, we do hope to have at least one you-pick event. In the meantime, we are snipping away to keep the plants healthy and to enjoy the beauty that has been experienced so far.

Pictured here is Wren, who helped me pull weeds and cut some flowers this evening. We will be taking them to Bible study tomorrow for everyone to enjoy!

Happy to join our friend Santa Shawn for the Germantown Christmas in July Car Show, featuring local vendors, cool cars, live music- and most importantly, an overflowing box of toys donated for the Children’s Hospital.

Christmas is a year-round lifestyle for us, so of course we wanted in on the fun. Love this little town of ours, and all of the wonderful people in it. 🎄

Things are starting to bloom here on the farm!

Come find us tomorrow in downtown Germantown from 3-8pm for the Christmas in July Car Show. We will be bringing our favorite red hoodies, some fresh new merch, and some fresh cut flowers straight from our fields!

The best part of this journey has by far been meeting so many incredible farmers who have openly shared their experiences, knowledge, tips and tricks. Information that takes decades of experience to learn. The Christmas Tree industry has opened their arms to Mike and I, and we have enjoyed every minute of absorbing all of the wisdom. Many have travelled to our farm to give us advice, and others have opened their farms and behind the scenes to us to show us what has worked for them.

Today was an opportunity to finally return a little bit of that help, and we gladly jumped on board. Mike and the kids provided some extra hands in helping another local Christmas Tree farm get some of their spring planting in. Farmer Matt at has been a huge help to our farm, and we had fun spending the day getting some new trees in the ground with him!
