Shepherd Fit and learn how the BODY can Heals and Reshape itself by eating right FOODS. We help you to understand the power of food and how it works from the inside out. We guide, support, help you to achieve your health, wellness and fitness goals. http://www.ShepherdFit.net

Shepherd Fit focus on the Trilogy of Healthy Living! A Mindset - Away of life - Away to Live. Shepherd Fit help you to understand the power of food and how it works from the inside out. Shepherd Fit guide, support, help you to achieve your health, wellness and fitness goals. Shepherd Fit strongly believe healthy foods and physical activities improve healthy minds, bodies, enhance relationships and happiness. Spiritual, Mindset and Happiness is a very important piece with the Shepherd Fit program. Focusing on those three areas will help you accomplish great health and fitness along the way. Here are some concepts that we will explore during our work together:

Bio-individuality™: The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success! Primary Food™: It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life. Studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Your future self is waiting on the choices you make today.

Every walk, every real meal, every glass of water, every rep is a deposit. You can’t skip the deposits and expect the account to be full when you need it. I’m 54 and I’m still making them, because I want to be strong enough to enjoy the years ahead, not just get through them.

Take ownership. Start small. Start today. 🙏🏾

Save this for the day you need the reminder.

Dairy-free. Packed with berries. 2-5 minutes from blender to bowl. 🍓🍒

Frozen mixed berries, cherries, a ripe banana, oat milk and vanilla plant protein, blended until thick and creamy. It’s fiber-rich and antioxidant-dense, and it works as a post-workout treat or a lighter dessert. Honey or agave is still sugar, so keep it moderate. 🙏🏾

Comment “ICE CREAM” and I’ll send you the full recipe.

Never leave home without your workout clothes. 👟🙏🏾

Here’s my tip. Pack your shorts or sweatpants, your shirt, your socks and your sneakers before you walk out the door. Because when you say “I’ll go home first, then hit the gym,” your body wins the argument every time.

So I change in the car and go straight to the gym. No detour. No excuses.

Your body will always find a reason to rest. Take that decision away from it. 💪🏾

Comment “TIP” below and I’ll send you the regimen I use to stay motivated.

Run your race. Not his. 🏃🏾‍♂️🙏🏾

I kept up with a stranger on the trail and ran a 7:48 first mile. Then I paid for it over the next two. Life works the same way. Stop running someone else’s race.

Do what’s best for you and run your race with the strength God gave you.

Where are you running someone else’s race right now? Tell me in the comments. 👇🏾

Still training at 54
Faith + fitness after 50

It works best as a reel intro, an end-of-reel sign-off, or a story. At 3 seconds it’s too short to post alone, so pair it with a longer clip like the cable press.

Caption if you post it by itself:

Still showing up at 54. 🙏🏾💪🏾

God gave me this body to take care of. Training keeps me strong, my energy steady and my heart grateful.

Is something stopping you from starting? Tell me in the comments. 👇🏾

Still pressing at 54. 💪🏾

The overhead press works your shoulders, your core and your balance, and it keeps you strong enough to carry your own life without help. Muscle also helps your body handle blood sugar, so every rep supports your health beyond the mirror.

Start light, control the weight and add a little more over time. Strength after 50 is built on small steps you keep taking.

Do you press overhead in your routine? Yes or no, let me know in the comments. 👇🏾

“I’m too busy” isn’t a fitness plan. At 54, with a full schedule, here’s how I stay strong and healthy. 💪

1️⃣ Schedule it like an appointment. Put your workout in your calendar. If it’s not written down, it won’t happen.

2️⃣ Lift 2–3 times a week. 30 minutes is enough. Strong muscles help your body clear sugar from your blood.

3️⃣ Walk after your biggest meal. 10 minutes. It’s the easiest habit that keeps energy steady.

4️⃣ Prep your food on Sunday. Cook your beans, rice, veggies, and fruit in bulk. Healthy is easy when it’s already made.

5️⃣ Never miss twice. Skipped a day? Fine. Just show up the next day.

6️⃣ Start your day with prayer and movement. Even 5 minutes. Your mind and your body both need it.

7️⃣ Sleep like it matters. It does. 7–8 hours. You can’t out-train being tired.

You don’t need perfect. You just need consistent. 🙏

Which tip will you start with this week? Tell me below. 👇

Seated cable rows 💪

Elbows back. Shoulder blades together. Squeeze, then lower it slowly. No swinging and no ego.

A strong back fixes your posture, protects your shoulders, and keeps you standing tall. Big muscles like these also help your body use blood sugar better. Lifting is one part of the plan, along with walking and eating real food.

I train my back 2 times a week. How about you?

Faith, fuel, and fitness. One rep at a time. 🙏
