Trattore Farms and Winery Trattore translates to "tractor" in Italian and is a tribute to the owners' appreciation for the endu Trattore translates to “tractor” in Italian.

Translated from the Italian word for tractor, “Trattore” felt like the suitable name for the land where owner Tim Bucher’s passions combine: on 40 acres of steep rolling hillsides in Dry Creek Valley, planted in vineyards and olive trees. While touring our ranch at the north end of Dry Creek Valley, three things can be seen within the landscape: acres of vineyards, hillsides of olive trees, and tractors amid them all. Trattore Farms is the result of a Healdsburg native’s love of the area, Rhône-style wines, the daughter of an Italian immigrant with a passion for olive oil, and...tractors of course! Trattore Farms, home of Dry Creek Olive Company and Trattore Estate Wines offers a range of memorable tour and tasting experiences to make your trip to Dry Creek Valley and Healdsburg extra memorable! Whether you have a strong desire to “get your boots dirty” with an in-depth vineyard and orchard tour or you are a home chef who aspires to better understand the connection between food, wine, and olive oil, we have the perfect tour for you. Tasting of wine and olive oil can be enjoyed at the estate tasting room at 7878 Dry Creek Road, Geyserville. Special, by-appointment-only experiences encompass our vineyard and orchard property and finish with an in-depth mill tour. Our ultimate experience includes wine, olive oil and pairings!

October is National Pizza Month, and wood-fired pizzas are on the menu Sundays at Trattore.

Chef Andrew makes the dough with 00 pizza flour, then fires each pizza in our wood-fired oven.

Our current lineup features a few of our estate olive oils:
🍅 Margherita, featuring our Basil Olive Oil
🌶️ Fireworks, featuring our Jalapeño Olive Oil
👨‍🍳 Chef’s Special, changing throughout the month

Best enjoyed on the Terrace and paired with your favorite Trattore w**e. Available Sundays only.

The Picpoul has come a long way since we first checked in from the vineyard.

This time, Winemaker Craig takes us into the lab to show us how we measure the remaining sugar in our w**e and determine when fermentation is complete.

A little testing, a little patience, and one step closer to the barrel.

Follow along as we take our Picpoul from vine to bottle.

What’s a punch down? 🍷

During red w**e fermentation, grape skins and solids rise to the top, creating what’s known as the “cap.” Punching it back down helps:

🍇 Build color, flavor & tannins
🌡️ Maintain an even fermentation
🫧 Introduce oxygen to support fermentation
🍷 Increase contact between the juice and skins

At Trattore, we use an automated punch-down arm to gently and consistently break up and submerge the cap throughout fermentation.

Just one of the many things happening in the cellar during harvest.

Last time we checked in with Craig, our Picpoul was still on the vine. Now, it’s been harvested, pressed, and is one step closer to the bottle.

Craig takes us into the cellar to show us what happens next as the Picpoul begins its journey through fermentation.

Follow along as we take this w**e from vine to bottle. 🍷
