Garden Creek Ranch Vineyards Winery Hidden in the hillsides of Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, husband + wife 3rd generation winemakers winegrowers

Garden Creek is a private estate in the eastern hillsides of Alexander Valley, Sonoma County. We are second generation family winegrowers with vineyards & a winery producing world class vineyard designated wines, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from our hillside vineyards at our home ranch Garden Creek Ranch in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County since 1969 and a Pinot Noir of high elevation vineyards in Anderson Valley, Mendocino named Golden Fleece Vineyards since 2016. Our focus is purity and precision in our wines crafted to age for decades.

“When we tell a wine’s story, we share the human side of the story. Our wines are deeply personal, and our members often develop an emotional connection to our family and the estate. Winegrowing is more than wine, a vineyard or culture – it’s our family. Deep connections and friendships are made,” says proprietors, winemakers and winegrowers Justin and Karin Warnelius-Miller. The wines produced include a 7-year aged Cabernet Sauvignon and a 3-year aged Chardonnay. Patience in releasing the wines is an inherent responsibility and dedication to craft. Garden Creek is open by appointment with private wine tasting and tours available to those on our mailing list.

A repost from California Association of W**egrape Growers for

Karin Warnelius-Miller immigrated from Sweden with her family when she was four years old. Her father comes from an old dairy farming family, and them came to America chasing land and dream of becoming w**egrowers.

Her day starts before the sun rises. After helping get their third generation vineyard crew started with the day's work in the vineyards Garden Creek Ranch Vineyards W**ery and , she heads to the w**ery to check on barrels and oversee outgoing w**e shipments.

As a young child, Karin recalls wandering the vineyards, discovering microclimates, varying flavors, and different textures in every row. She finds it rewarding it know that she's continuing a legacy that her children will one day carry forward.

Karin is most proud of working every day alongside her husband, her partner in life and farming and a fellow second-generation w**egrower. Together, they've remained true to the standards and principles that have guided the way they farm, carrying those values into w**es that have earned recognition on the international stage.

This incredible acknowledgement from Mary Ann Worobiec **ehussy, Senior Editor at W**e Spectator is profound. Alexander Valley Chardonnay is able to achieve grand complexity, without compromise to place, our vineyards, the exquisite multi-dimensional soils, and last but not least the lifetime committed farmer, my husband, partner in life and love, Justin Miller.

Family is the foundation for us. Our children Elsa and Leif have been farming and w**egrowing our land beside us since they were born. Just as we did as children.

Garden Creek is our home and with all we do… seeking the tremendous beauty in our vineyard takes careful attention by touch and feel by uncompromising farming and w**emaking philosophy. We seek to achieve optimal expression in color, richness, and freshness and complete transparency in the w**e.

We believe in crafting w**es that need time to be released and intended to be timeless with impressive aging potential. To us, this is a quiet luxury.

The world of w**e is very small. A life changing visit to Japan for our son Leif's 18th birthday for a ski adventure in Hikkaido led us to the w**e region of the northern island. This was February and most w**eries were closed. Occigabi W**ery - オチガビワイナリー is located in Yoichi on the west coast welcomed us. A day adventure in Japan and today we hosted the lovely Kiichiro & Gami Ochi and their associates from their w**ery. We left each other today, not good-bye but see you later. The LOVE for w**e and w**egrowing leads to incredible people. Kanpai 乾杯
