We have been busy moving plants from the high tunnel into the potted yard!

Plants are ready to move out when we start seeing roots peeking out of the bottom and sides of the pouch. This indicates they are established enough to be planted.

Visit us at our open hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 9-3 from now until mid July!

Last call for Virginia bluebells (Mertensia virginica)!

These delicate spring ephemerals are one of the first herbaceous plants to bloom in our area, starting in April. Foliage emerges before trees leaf out and usually completely dies down by summer. Typically found in moist woodlands and floodplains, Virginia bluebells are visited by a wide range of pollinators, including butterflies, skippers, moths, and several bee species.

A great early season filler in shade gardens, they should be planted near annuals or ferns that emerge later to fill in the planting bed.

There are just a few pots remaining here in the nursery. Plant now for a welcome springtime surprise for many years to come. Link to store in bio.
