Wild Bay Seafood Company traces its origins back to 1997, the year we purchased the fishing vessel, “Maggie Lynn” named after our only daughter – Maggie. Located in Gig Harbor, Washington, we are a small family fishing operation with only our son and daughter on deck. Every summer we fish commercially for wild sockeye salmon in Bristol Bay, Alaska, and in the fall and winter months we
direct market our catch to local restaurants, specialty grocers, and residents around the greater Puget Sound. Bristol Bay is the world’s largest sockeye salmon fishery, responsibly managed by the state of Alaska to maintain sustainability. No other fishery matches the standard of sustainability set by Bristol Bay. Unfortunately, deception and deceit run rampant in the seafood industry. Many fish on the market today may have been caught illegally, or switched with farmed fish or other lesser products in a dishonest effort to trick or swindle the buyer. Without knowing the chain of custody, the quality, health benefits, and safety standards are unknowable. Since Wild Bay Seafood Company has no middleman, we categorically guarantee the highest quality. Our fish always remain in our care and custody which none of our competitors can say. We exclusively market the highest quality, USA-produced, healthy, and sustainable hand-filleted sockeyes, smoked salmon, and seafood. Our salmon never leave our custody, ensuring the traceability of every fish we sell from tide to table. Our catch is:
