October 6 & 7 of this year, our team had the privilege of visiting Oatman Flats Ranch, the first Regenerative Organic Certified® farm in Arizona owned by Dax Hansen, and participating in Regenerate AZ. This two-year project aims to create a paradigm shift in the food supply in the arid Southwest. The event was launched by Think Regeneration, an organization founded on the principle that we must work on the ground, side by side with food growers, to help achieve a paradigm shift in the food supply, supported by partners, DRY Co-op and Ranch House Media.
At the meeting, participants, including restaurants, farmers, ranchers, land owners, and representatives of the nearby tribal associations, shared insights about practices designed to increase soil health and nutrient density. The group spent time sharing and learning from one another, and developed a stronger understanding of how to grow healthy food and build communities in drought conditions.
Enlightened Soil Corp sponsored this event as the mission was aligned with our own. EnSoil Algae was provided to Oatman Flats Ranch farm manager, Dr. Yadi Wang, to trial and examine changes in biomass density, biodiversity, and stress adaptation with application of algae. We were personally excited to see for ourselves the increased biomass and biodiversity above ground, and also below ground, and look forward to sharing the full report in our 2023 Growers Report coming 🔜.
