Wicked Rain, a craft beer bar featuring ales from the Pacific Northwest, is under construction near the southwest corner of Gilbert and Baseline in Gilbert.

The 3,000-square-foot bar will have a rotating selection from 30 breweries. It also will serve lunch and dinner.

According to its website, the taproom aims to become ‘‘a home for other fans of PNW culture, sports, and suds.’’

The owners hope to do a soft opening in September.

It's Customer Appreciation Week at the Beer Research Institute in Mesa, meaning it's all-day happy hour – $4 pints, $1 off cocktails, and discounted apps – through Sunday.
