As many of you know, Honey came to our farm back in February after her mama was unable to care for Honey and her five siblings (yes…SIX babies total!). For the next 10 weeks, Honey was a full-time bottle baby while growing up alongside our herd of does.

Goats are very social animals, and bottle babies usually have a harder time finding their place within the herd. But not long after Honey arrived, one of our does (Paddy) seemed to choose her as her own. Since Paddy had no babies of her own, and Honey had no mother to curl up with at night or watch over her during the day, the two formed the sweetest bond!

Paddy has truly stepped into the role of Honey’s “mama”. Comforting her, protecting her, and always keeping her close. Now, at almost 4 months old, Honey is thriving, and we wanted to share a little glimpse into their very special friendship 💕💕
