After 52 years of dedicated continuous farming, we have made the decision to downsize our farm operations. Doing so was not an easy decision to make, but we believe the time is right to step back a little and enjoy time with our 3 children, their spouses and 7 grandchildren.
When we became owners of James R Sease Farms Inc in 1979, the farm was a commercial peach farm. Through the years, the farm diversified into vegetable crops including collards, kale, turnip, green onion and squash. Our first strawberry crop of 2 acres was planted in 1995. That 2 acre crop of strawberries grew to consistently be a 10 acre crop for 29 years. We have been so blessed to have the ongoing support of our customers at The Patch year after year!
With bittersweet feelings, we are announcing that we will not offer a commercial strawberry patch in 2025 or beyond. We have met many wonderful people during this time and we count you as friends! Cherished memories of little children picking and eating strawberries will forever be with us. We feel sure you have similar memories that were created with your family at The Patch.
Thank you again for your support and loyalty through the years. We appreciate each and everyone of you!!!

It was quite refreshing on the hot Wednesday afternoon.
