The Newburgh Vintage Emporium has exceptional vintage decor, especially if you are into Mid-Century pieces, but there are Victorian and Art Deco finds around the store, too.

I especially liked looking at the jewelry and trinkets, Chef Emily said, smiling.

Nothing beats Homemade Pasta!

Chef Emily enjoyed a delicious meal on Saturday evening seated at the bar at Stephano's.

"I was lucky to be squeezed in since I had no reservation. The place was packed! And for good reason. The food is very flavorful and the portions are extremely generous," commented Chef Emily, smiling.

Outstanding family-run diner makes great comfort food!

"Unlike many diners, the smaller menu allows Rise & Shine to shine brightly when it comes to preparing and plating," shared Chef Emily.

"My Daughter and I are spending the President's Day Weekend at the Jersey Shore, and we wanted to try a new place. We found Rise & Shine on our way to antiquing and thrifting on Valentine's Day and were really impressed," said Chef Emily's Mom.

Chef Emily's Mom had a short stack with a sunny-side up egg. At Rise & Shine, that meant 2 full-sized pancakes, not smaller ones, as some places might serve.

As for Chef Emily, she had a perfectly prepared tuna sandwich on white toast with fries, which is a diner go-to choice for her, and she was very satisfied.

"We'll be back there again for sure," said Chef Emily, smiling.

Bruno's is a wonderful pizzeria at the Jersey Shore!

In-house dining Saturday was a welcome warm spot since the Mother Nature was dosing the area with rain and sleet.

You can really tell a lit about a place by the way the food is presented, said Chef Emily. Bruno's goes that extra step by adding little things to the garden salad, like roasted red peppers, shredded carrots, generous blocks of romano cheese on top and a sliced hard-boiled egg on the side. Most pizzeria's give the basics only on a salad; this one is a cut-above. And the pizza is delicious!
