Well... last weekend’s bake definitely kept me on my toes! 😅🍞
After a whole lot of troubleshooting, we discovered the problem wasn’t my timing after all—our refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly. Unfortunately, that meant every loaf I had prepared overproofed and deflated. Sourdough sure knows how to keep you humble!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who ordered last weekend and was so patient while I restarted the process and delivered your bread on Tuesday. Balancing a 7–4 job during the day and squeezing sourdough in before and after work made for a pretty chaotic few days, but we made it through! Your kindness and understanding meant more than you know. ❤️
Now that the refrigerator is back to working like it should, I’m excited to get back in the kitchen!

Sure, it wasn’t an open bake this weekend — but you bet your bottoms I baked! 🎓🍥
This weekend, the kitchen was busy with something extra special: sweet rolls made with love for our niece’s high school graduation party! 4 different kinds, and every single one found a happy home — my heart is SO full. 🥹
I’m beyond proud of this incredible young woman and so excited for the bright future ahead of her. Watching her walk across that stage was bittersweet (she’s the baby of the family) — getting to celebrate her with a table full of sweet rolls and plenty of other tasty food? That’s what it’s all about.
Thank you to all the regular customers for your patience — I’ll be back for our next open bake weekend soon!
