✨ A little name change is coming to the Grain & Grit kitchen! ✨

I’ve been calling these little gems *scones*… but I’ve realized that when you say “scone,” everyone seems to picture something a little different.

And what I make? Well… they’re not quite what some people imagine when they hear scone. 😉

They’re **light, moist, tender, flavorful little gems** with a sweet glaze that makes them just the right amount of indulgent.

So, I decided they deserve a name that fits them a little better.

🥁 **Introducing: GLAZED CREAM DROPS!** 🥁

Same delicious recipe. Same small-batch, homemade goodness. Just a name that tells you a little more about what you’re actually getting.

So going forward, you’ll find **Glazed Cream Drops** on the Grain & Grit menu instead of scones.

Because sometimes you just need to stop calling something what everyone *thinks* it is and give it a name of its own. ❤️

Well... last weekend’s bake definitely kept me on my toes! 😅🍞
After a whole lot of troubleshooting, we discovered the problem wasn’t my timing after all—our refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly. Unfortunately, that meant every loaf I had prepared overproofed and deflated. Sourdough sure knows how to keep you humble!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who ordered last weekend and was so patient while I restarted the process and delivered your bread on Tuesday. Balancing a 7–4 job during the day and squeezing sourdough in before and after work made for a pretty chaotic few days, but we made it through! Your kindness and understanding meant more than you know. ❤️
Now that the refrigerator is back to working like it should, I’m excited to get back in the kitchen!
