Still Seeking Farm

Still Seeking Farm Growers of nutrient dense vegetables and flowers. Producer of maple syrup, bread & jam in central New Hampshire.

Still Seeking Farm, LLC is a diversified farm using sustainable agricultural practices. We currently operate on a part-time basis, but it is our dream to become a full-time self-sustainable farm, in order to provide our customers with more organic vegetables and fruits and other farmstead products. In 2011, we moved to Gilmanton, NH on a 15 acre farm, we have a huge vegetable garden and we're ta

pping our trees for the maple season. For more information about our farm and to order our locally made products and organically grown produce, contact Michelle & Keith Descoteaux.

Gardening tip of the week. With mother nature going through menopause or something we need to pay close attention to the snow come to the north. Even though we are not suppose to get that cold for a frost. I would recommend treating it like a frost or even a freeze. Cover as much of your garden as possible. Especially things like tomatoes, peppers, basil and anything else that really is not cold hardy. Save your banana peels and make the tea with it for Saturday watering. When your done with the peels you can add them to your compost or bury them right in your garden.

FROST WARNING. We had a pretty good frost this morning. If you are in an area that is 40 degrees or lower and want to save your plants you want to get out in the garden and wash the frost off your plants before the sun hits them. This may save them from certain death.

Just started reading this book and a section stood out and I decided to share. From the book: Mr Triumph and Mr. Defeat are intensely obedient. If the signal is positive (your thoughts) he's called to attention and positive thoughts flow. If the signal is negative, here comes Mr. Defeat to ruin your day.

So when you start your day, wake up with positive thoughts. Wouldn't you want to have Mr. Triumph always at the front?

Here's to a positive day, every day going forward.
