I’m sorry I haven’t been on here posting lately, spent the holiday with my family and just genuinely trying to stay off social media as much. BUT I did make 10 more pints of pickles!! 9 dill and 1 spicy garlic (because I ran out of fresh dill 🤣). Half my pantry is jars of pickles this year 🤣🤣 praise the Lord for abundance. I threw the rest of the sliced cucumbers to the chickens Saturday for a forth of July treat and because I was done with them 🤣

Tonight’s haul included a bottle neck zucchini! I thought the stupid squash burrows killed them all!

We have been busy! I’ve got a dozen quarts of peaches and 8 quarts of pickles. I’ve made 4 peach pie fillings and today 9 more pints of sweet and spicy!
AND I had the privilege of teaching my love of canning to two women this morning and they canned 9 pints of dill pickles!
I have 10 more pounds going in the freezer for jams and homemade ice cream! But I’m taking a few days off 🤪

Wednesday I got a jump start on peaches: 4 quarts sliced peaches and 4 pints peach pie filling! 5 more quarts of sliced peaches and most of them will head to the freezer for another week. I still have another batch of pickles to do as well! An abundant harvest requires abundant time preserving. ❤️ Praise the Lord

It was such a beautiful (and hot) day at the orchard. We brought these bad boys home to can. We’ll be making strawberry/peach jam, peach pie filling, and good ol peaches. Maybe I got enough to get us through the year 😉 What is your favorite way to eat peaches?
