Had to assist a cow deliver a calf again this morning. We were hoping to video the delivery of the calf, but it was coming breech. Momma and calf are both doing well. It's another great day on the farm.

Had to help a heifer have a calf this morning. A whole lot of emotions go through you when a cow is struggling to have a calf. Fear that if we don't get the calf out it will die. Adrenaline as you pull on the front legs of the calf assisting the cow. Exhaustion as you pull with everything you have and the calf gets stuck in the birth canal. And finally, joy, as you get the calf out and it let's out a bawl telling you "hello world here I am." It's a great day when you get to help bring a life into the world. This is why we love what we do!
