Time has come for the rest of the pigs to go to Freezer Camp!! It has been a fun experience and can’t wait to do it again next year.

Pigs are getting big. Got a little rain yesterday pigs have messy pig pen. T-minus 6 weeks for 1 of them and 8 weeks for the rest. Can’t wait till they go to Freezer Camp.

Got a little warm on Saturday so gave the pigs some water to play in. Also measured 2 of them and they measured out at 180lbs.

Added a couple things to the pig pen. Built them a lean to so the have more shade. Also started on the new water. Once finished shouldn’t have to worry about watering them as much.

The meat chickens headed to Freezer Camp last Friday. Thanks to Dave, Gordon, and my parents for the help. We ended up butchering 56 out of the original 65 birds for a total of 331 lbs of whole chicken meat. Largest bird was 7lbs 15oz and smallest was 3lbs 14oz @ 7.5 weeks old.
