🛠️ DIY Tip

If you water down paint, you can use it like a stain! 😍

Here's the back story. The trim boards you see around the doors and along the bottom of the wall were bought like that. Stained and ready to go. We loved them, bought them and then realized we needed to find a stain to match so we can do the doors. Well we had no such luck. We had to of tried 15 different stains. None were even close. So that's when I decided to take some leftover paint we had, watered it down and this was the outcome! It looks exactly like the trim boards! 😍 I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out! Some of you know, but many of you don't so I wanted to share with you guys. We are currently remodeling our over 100 year old farmhouse. ❤️

We've been doing one room at a time whenever we get extra money and time. We are currently working on the kitchen which is the biggest demolition and remodel we have done so far. Although it is so much work, it will be so rewarding when it is finished. 🙌🏼

It was actually just before demoing the kitchen that I realized I really didn't like the vibe or the feel we were going with. Taking months to try and figure out what color cabinets we should get, or if we wanted stainless steel appliances or black, or what color we should paint the walls. It dawned on me just then, this isn't working, we need to start over. 🫠

My husband, Lance, looked at me like I was nuts, and he's not wrong. But with all his support, we started redoing every room, again..... 😅

So with that being said, enjoy this short clip of our kitchen remodel! 😂 And if you are like me and enjoy watching other people tear apart their houses and turning them into homes, then follow along! ❤️

This is the cute little baby we had to bring in and bottle feed because he got buried in the mud.

He is doing so much better! He's clean, he's eating from mom and he's happy. 😊

This little guy was born late last night and this morning when Lance went out to check on him, he was buried in the mud. 😞

He brought him into the heated shed and washed him up as best he could.

With lots of heat and warm bottles, he was able to go back into the field with mom. 🥰
