Had a surprise egg in my coop today! I love new layers! This is an F7 Olive Egger from my own lines. As always, a picture isn't capturing its rich, almost mustard brown, pigment over its green shell. Now to figure out which of the 4 suspected birds laid it!

It takes way too many pictures to get the lighting right so they appear on camera the same as they do in person. And still I can't do them justice! Shade, sunlight, flash, I have no idea how to do this. Photographer, I am not! Lol

Here are my end of season eggs. Colors aren't the same as vividness spring, but still so pretty!

Working on the blooms! Every now and again I'll get just an incredible egg from one of my hens. And photos never come close to doing them justice or capturing accurate color. I've had a handful recently that are deep rose pink and dusky violet!

Woohoo! 🥰

I've got olive/moss eggers coming out of my ears!
17 chicks are up or discussion.
Farm pick up in Railton, KY/Barren county, or can meet in Glasgow.
These are from my special olive pen, which I am a few years into developing. The eggs they hatched from are pictured. The rooster/dad genes are from a French Wheaten Marans who is about a #7 on the color chart based off of the egg he hatched from and the eggs his sisters lay.
That said, these chicks should lay various shades of olive, from deep moss to jewel colored and others may be a dark mustard color almost, but still an olive egger. Some with heavy speckling and others with a heavy bloom.

I can ⛴️ these gorgeous eggs to the lower 48, and also have marans and rainbow basket options.
