Get those young hunters in the stands! Great opportunity for Hunters Education card.

The fall season will be here before you know it, so the time to start getting ready is now!

To help prepare new hunters for a safe and successful experience in the field this fall, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is hosting a special statewide “Hunter Education Day” on Saturday, August 1.

We are offering more than 30 in-person Hunter Education classes, along with a handful of live-fire range days at locations all across Kentucky!

To receive your full Hunter Education certification, you can either:

1.Take an in-person course
2. Complete an online course (between now and August 1) and attend an in-person range day

Anyone 12 years of age and older must have completed Hunter Education before they can legally hunt in Kentucky, and our Hunter Education Day is the perfect time to do it before the busyness of the fall season gets in the way!
