Some people are happiest around great wine.
Marshall prefers to be part of sharing it and making it!

Whether he’s welcoming guests in the tasting room or jumping into the cellar during harvest, he brings the same energy everywhere he goes, thoughtful, hardworking, and always ready to help wherever needed.

Meet the Growers: Dawson Vineyard | Part I The Place

This month, we’re highlighting Dawson Vineyard, located in the heart of Sonoma’s Los Carneros AVA, a cool-climate site shaped by wind, fog, and the long growing season that Pinot Noir loves most.

With clay loam soils and steady coastal influence from the San Pablo Bay and Pacific Ocean, Dawson develops wines with freshness, structure, and beautiful natural balance. French Dijon clones and Pommard selections were carefully chosen for this site, and the vineyard is proudly Sonoma County Sustainable certified.

Scott’s Rule: The Half-Day

If he can’t be there and back by noon, we don’t work with the vineyard.

Out the door by 7am. Walk the blocks. Talk with the grower. Check the vines. Back to the winery by midday.

It keeps every site within reach, while still leaving time to focus on the wines in the cellar.
