The second wine in our Spring Release is the 2023 Maeve the Warrior Princess. Cabernet Sauvignon from the legendary on Moon Mountain.

This is our third vintage working with fruit from this special vineyard, and it continues to be a site we feel deeply connected to. Each year tells a slightly different story, and the 2023 growing season was long and patient, producing expressive mountain fruit.

We named this wine after Maeve, the legendary Irish warrior queen, a symbol of strength and spirit and an ode to the women of Tara.

Allocations are now live and quantities are limited.

2026 St. Patrick’s Day Spring Release 🍀🍷

Each year around St. Patrick’s Day we release something new from the cellar, and this year we are especially excited to share two new wines with you.

The first is our 2023 Mound of Hostages, sourced from a new vineyard for us, Nunnery Vineyard on Moon Mountain. This site sits high on the slopes of the Moon Mountain District, where rocky volcanic soils and mountain exposure produce fruit with depth, structure, and intensity. The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon that is both powerful and elegant, with the signature character we love from this mountain.

The vineyard is what we like to say in Sonoma is “Phil farmed,” by one of our biggest mentors, Phil Coturri, often referred to as the grandfather of organic farming. Phil has been a guiding force in organic viticulture in Sonoma County for decades, and working with fruit from a vineyard under his care feels especially meaningful to us.

The name Mound of Hostages comes from the ancient Hill of Tara in Ireland, a place layered with history and ceremony. Like the hill itself, this wine is rooted in place, farming, and story.

We produced only three barrels of this wine, so availability is extremely limited and it will likely go fast.

Release day is tomorrow. 🍀🍷
