Well it is almost September so that means we are gearing up for our first fall show season!

We will be at the MD state Fair and we will also be at the Great Frederick Fair and maybe even one for the boys 🐐 at the end of the month!

Will we see you there!?!?

Through no fault of her own this girl was set to go to her new home but life got in the way of her new owner.

I kicked myself in the butt every time I looked at her bc she has some really good characteristics and traits that I am looking for but I am a lady of my word!

So as of 10 minutes ago she is officially registered to us so let me introduce to you Hakes Herd Fancy!

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT SHE DOES FOR US!!!

She is out of a good cross of Rayne and Brownie.

Wonder what her and Sonic (the Wolfivan buck) can do!?!?

Our first dairy goat show is in the books. It was honestly an AMAZING experience. I had 0 idea what I was walking into. Allie, Barrett, and Briggs truly showed so much enthusiasm, patience, and even some skill. We laughed and made so many memories and we are already preparing for the next one!

This was definitely not a solo act! We had so much support! We had Amber cheering us on and she cannot wait for her turn! Melinda Nelson is always such a big help with all the things. My brother in law, Stanley, pointed us in the direction of a perfect horse trailer and he made sure he got it to our house and then off to the fair and back home safely! Elizabeth Noble Harris and Marta Markline-Kastner and Maddie were there bright and early to root for us and take the best pictures.

There were some other great farms there to guide us. The judge was so wonderful. And once I go through everything we will let you know who won what….

Except I can definitely tell you that Amandine (Ami) took home best of breed (Nigerian dwarf) and this was an ADGA sanctioned show.

This was super exciting for us!!!

We have a few things to arrive yet from Amazon.

Vet did her CVI, our paperwork is all organized and in a nice binder.

Contemplating on registering for another show in Sept😏🧐 what do yall think?
