We'll be here for market day in Millersville until 1pm. Mashed potato squash is the special of the week. I also have candy roaster squash, garlic, jalapeños, tomatoes, tomatillos, bitter melons, maypops, transylvanian sorrel, Huckleberry Gold potatoes, Roveja peas, and lots of fresh-cut herbs.
Stop on out on this beautiful morning and support lots of great local vendors.

The first Fall planting got done yesterday!
25 lbs of Horseradish root made it into the ground. Horseradish like deep loose soil to grow big roots. They get planted at a 45 degree angle. The remnants of the hurricane coming through Sunday should be a good soaking rain for them.

This weekend I will have Maypops available. Maypops are the fruit of the native passionflower. The fruit is ripe when it turns yellow/green and falls to the ground. You can see the color difference between the first and second pictures. The skin gets softer and can wrinkle. The taste is similar to tropical passionflower but more tart and less sweet. You would use them the same way you would the tropical ones. You can easily find recipes online for Maypop jam and jelly.
Look for a limited amount at market!

t's a market weekend ahead 🍂🍁
Saturday October 10th 9am-1pm, I'll be at Manor Market in Millersville for the last time this year. Come out and stock up on tea! I'll still have plenty of produce and dinosaur gourds and small black pumpkins for decorating.
Sunday October 11th 10am-2pm, I'll be back at the Glen Rock Makers and Farmers Market. Ali will be dishing out some soup for market.
Look for mashed potato squash, candy roaster squash, jalapeños, garlic, Huckleberry Gold potatoes, Roveja peas, transylvanian sorrel, tomatillos, cherry tomatoes, bitter melons, and lots of fresh-cut herbs. I'll also have plenty of free milkweed seeds to hand out!

Back in Harrisburg for day 2 of the Spirit of Oneness Holistic Expo! I brought the Turkish tea set with me. It sure would make a great gift for yourself or the tea lover on your list. Or elevate taking shots 🤪 White Sage and tea got restocked. We'll be here until 4pm today inside, comfortable and dry.
