Saturday June 13th from 9am-1pm, you can find me at the Wandering Makers Market at Strock's Farm in Mechanicsburg. Come out for a great selection of over 40 talented local vendors. I will have teas, tinctures, dream pillows, bug spray, and a selection of tea spoons, pots, cups, and saucers. Email the farm at [email protected] if you'd like to place an order for pickup.

Sunday June 14th from 10am-2pm, I'll be back at the Glen Rock Makers and Farmers Market. Look for the last of the Spring lettuce, sorrel, garlic scapes, radishes, lots of fresh-cut herbs, tea, and tea ware. Email the farm if you were interested in a bulk order of garlic scapes to pickup at market.

Its that short time of year when most of the Summer planting is done, but it's not quite time to start seeds for Fall. It's the perfect time to get bigger projects done.
Today I moved the Gypsywort bed. It's been on my list for a long time and it feels good to get it done. Gypsywort got planted in a bad spot and was also getting overgrown with weeds. Some new plants were added that I started from seed this past Winter.
Gypsywort is a perennial member of the mint family. It is a great herb for hyperthyroidism, Graves disease, heart palpitations, anxiety, and coughs.
The farm offers Gypsywort as a single variety herbal tea.

Have you tried Transylvanian Sorrel yet? The flavor has a citrus/tart flavor. It's a great addition to salads. This green finds its home in Romanian cuisine with dishes like ciorbă soup. You can get really creative with this tasty vegetable.

The potato rows are looking spectacular. The tops of the plants look picture perfect. The trouble with root crops is that you don't know what the plant looks like under the surface. Hopefully they look just as good underneath.
