Here's another 2026 cria...Smokin Double D. Some names are thought over for long lengths of time. Some names have great personal meaning. And some names the cria earns based on their personality or traits.

Double D got his name well...because quite honestly he wasn't the brightest bulb on the tree! Double D stands for dumb as dogsh*t (from the movie Renaissance Man).

He may not have brains but he is cute!! 🤣🤣

Meet Highland Freya 🤍
Tiny in size (12 lbs), mighty in name. This little white girl is out of Sugarland’s Highlandar and Snowmass Highland Pearl — she definitely needed a Scottish name! Named after the Norse goddess herself — and the #1 Scottish girl name of 2025. She came in knowing she was royalty. 👑

Freya fears NOTHING and doesn’t care that she’s tiny. She has already become best friends with Defining Moment and doesn’t let his bigger size bother her one bit. And the most surprising thing of all… she has 2 spots on her back! She needs 6 to be considered appaloosa, but that’s 2 more than we were expecting! 👀

🌟 Meet Be Brave (Harlequin Appaloosa)🌟

Be Brave arrived on the farm a couple weeks back to be a herdsire for our new pattern breeding program. In one word… WOW!

This guy is absolutely beautiful — solid, perfect conformation paired with incredibly soft fiber. But it’s his personality that really seals the deal: gentle enough to eat right from your hand, easy on the halter, and just an all-around happy-go-lucky boy. Honestly? He’s a dream to work with.

Be Brave is a Harlequin Appaloosa. Check out the pics and see his color transformation. Harlequin alpacas typically are born a lighter fawn color and turn grey/black over time. Be Brave also has lots of Appaloosa spots!!

Breeding for harlequin or appaloosa? Be Brave is ready to please the girls! With a pedigree carrying appaloosa and harlequin genetics galore, it’s very likely he’s homozygous for the appaloosa-harlequin allele — making him a serious contender for your pattern breeding program.

Meet Defining Moment — and yes, that name says everything.

Born from beautiful Snowmass Misty Splendor and sired by Snowmass Global Moment, this stunning pinto boy didn’t just arrive at Plumeria Alpaca Ranch. He announced something.

For years we’ve been building toward this — a deliberate shift toward producing patterned alpacas that turn heads without ever sacrificing the fiber quality and friendly dispositions. And then this little guy showed up, splashed in all the right places, and made it official.

He is our Defining Moment — the first cria born of our new pattern-focused breeding program. The first of what we believe will be many stunning pintos, appaloosas, and harlequins to come from Plumeria Alpaca Ranch.

The vision is real. The program has begun. And it started with him. ❤️

Preston Mei tries to out run her new coat!! She's fast but not that fast. She's sporting a new coat because her mom likes to drool green spit all over her. I'm tired of cleaning Preston Mei constantly. Maybe her mom really wanted an Appaloosa and she's trying to get her those spots. But we'll make spots the right way, but not with nasty spit!! 🤣

Honu and Preston Mei certainly love their dandelions! They ran around for a very long time with them hanging out of their mouth like they're smoking a cigarette! 🤣🤣. And typical Preston Mei she had to come give a kiss as well!

Today's wrestling match up: 28 day old Preston Mei vs 10 month old Honu! I think Preston Mei held her own against this big boy and when she had enough, she runs back around mom and the game is over. Smart Honu knows to walk away or he'll be facing big mama next!! 🤣🤣
