I thought this might be the perfect day to introduce cria #1 since we have a mom celebrating Mothers Day with her beautiful new girl!! Sienna gave birth on Monday to probably one of our strongest and most alert crias to date. I wish they all were like this. Dad is Snowmass Global Moment.

This girl is special so she gets a special name that has significant meaning for us. Her name is Preston Mei (pronounced like May). I'll be dumping videos and photos in stories to catch up on the last 6 days.

I still often wonder how alpacas procreated in the wild!! This love session doesn't get any easier and Smokin still acts mystified with the whole process...must have been a very long winter break. Shadow was a very willing trooper but we will have to wait for another day.

Last Friday was beautiful and everyone got out to enjoy some pasture time. Love spring and how green everything is! Alpacas love some fresh grass and chickens love looking for treats.

Hot off the loom...the first 100% alpaca shawl is ready to go!! Love how it turned out. It also comes with a wooden alpaca shawl pin.

This will be available this Saturday at a new event for me...I'll be at the Spring A Thon in Ramsey from 10-3pm. Come out and see all my new handwoven products and also shop all the other craft vendors. Should be a nice day to get out and about!!
