I don't know about you guys... but the star thistle this year is out of control! It has popped up everywhere! Even in places we have never had it!

Yesterday was a beautiful and sad day for us at the ranch. The sad: On 3/17, I found cow 407 with a calf that was stuck....

Yesterday was a beautiful and sad day for us at the ranch.

The sad: On 3/17, I found cow 407 with a calf that was stuck. Despite our best efforts, the calf died. Mom was still alive and trying to stand up. Over the last several days, we watched her, cared for her and ended up having to put the cow down due to her breaking her hips.

The beautiful: We had two beautiful Bull calves! They are soooo cute!

Today, we stopped in to feed and was surprised by another beautiful bull calf!

We moved all the cow/calf pairs into another pasture and watched all the baby calves zoom around the pasture and the mommas chase them 🤣

These two beautiful calves were born yesterday. One beautiful F1 heifer calf and one beautiful F4 bull calf!

The bull calf and momma ran off as soon as we were done tagging him. Today I'll get a better picture of him to share ❤️
