What a fantastic day at our Seneca Foods Company Picnic yesterday!

We were blessed with beautiful weather and a wonderful venue at the pavilion in Oak Leaf Park, provided by the City of Glencoe.

It was wonderful to see so many employees, retirees, and their families come together for an afternoon filled with fun, food, and fellowship. From the bounce houses and petting zoo provided by Weeping Willows 4-H Club to live music from the Country Fried Grubers, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Kids had the opportunity to plant their own peas or sweet corn, cool off with sno-cones, explore the touch-a-truck area featuring a pea combine, and take home gift bags full of goodies!

Of course, no picnic would be complete without great food! A special thank you to Alsleben Meats, LLC for the delicious hamburgers and hot dogs. Along with potato salad, fresh fruit, cookies, and all the fixings, nobody left hungry!

Events like these are about more than just a meal or a day of fun—they're an opportunity to strengthen connections, celebrate the hard work of our team, and create lasting memories for employees and their families.

Seneca Foods in Glencoe, MN is looking to hire a few Crop Samplers for our Pack Season!
SUMMER WORK AVAILABLE-NOW-mid October!

Locations can include: Arlington, Atwater, Bird Island, Brownton, Cosmos, Ga***rd, Gibbon, Glencoe, Hector, Hutchinson, Kimball, Litchfield, Paynesville, Olivia, Redwood Falls, Renville, Rice, Royalton & Stewart.

CROP SAMPLERS

Responsibilities: Collect 15–20-pound samples of Peas/Corn from locations in field during early morning hours (some later mornings/afternoons). Some flexible hours, up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements: Must have a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, a valid Driver's License, and a reliable personal vehicle. Farm experience is helpful but not required.
Starting wage range based on skills, abilities and experience from $17.36 per hour. Mileage reimbursement eligible.

Last week Hunter Lemke, our Plant Superintendent, had the opportunity to attend the signing event at Central Schools in Norwood Young America. The event was a great way to recognize students as they take the next step toward their careers and to celebrate their hard work, skills, and the exciting opportunities ahead of them.

We’re proud to congratulate Jaxson Link on signing with Seneca as a mechanic. We’re excited to welcome him to the team and support him as he begins his career journey!

At Seneca Foods, through a partnership with the MN Dept. of Labor, we’ve proudly welcomed many students into our youth apprenticeship programs over the years. Supporting events like this reflects our continued commitment to encouraging the next generation as they pursue rewarding and impactful career opportunities.

We had a great time connecting with students at the recent career fairs at Hutchinson Public Schools and Glencoe-Silver Lake Public Schools !

At Seneca Foods – Glencoe, we’re proud to offer career opportunities for a wide range of interests—including Youth Apprentice positions for 16- and 17-year-olds looking to gain real-world experience.

Students who stopped by our booth had the chance to learn more about what we do—and also enter their name into a drawing for a tool cart.

Congratulations to our winners, Nolan and Ryker! We hope you enjoy your new tool carts and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
