Picture a club store with pallet racks on the sides except the pallet racks on the left side are covered with growing food - that's right plants! Take note that in the back of the building is a similar white wall to that of a club store except instead of chickens roasting and a meat department on the other side it is a vegan food processing center. Note we saved room for a bakery on the back wall
too! There are no racks on the right side instead we see a beer brewery, kombucha brewery, a cafe/restaurant, a locally raised and produced meat and cheese section and a sitting area. The center of the store is a little more like a standard grocery store with a fresh produce section that includes freshly prepared salads, fresh-cut produce and other items one might expect in the produce section. There will be a freezer section with frozen fruits, vegetables, prepared meals, etc. the vast majority of which were produced just feet away! The grocery section will have the standard fare but take note of the bar of shampoo with no bottle (what is this?), our friend Poppy makes the most incredible hair and skincare products that are all organic and she likes to minimize packaging - why? because it's here forever and that doesn't work! Liquids need a package, bars do not! After awhile realize that the vast majority of produce this store sells was grown on-site. The vast majority of the finished products were produced on-site. The lasagna that was so great in the cafe freshly made with ingredients from the farm is also available in the frozen food section. The fresh-cut produce was grown here, cut here and is now being sold here! Take a step back and realize that everything for sale in the store from the produce to the meats, cereals, juices, beer, breads, soaps, shampoos, and even the small clothing section; everything is organic and earth friendly! Further realize that the vast majority was grown and/or produced in this same location and costs less than most other foods. Sound crazy? This isn't even the tip of the iceberg!
