This Sunday, December 7, we will be open from 9am to 5pm.
Our tree selection features Douglas fir, white pine, balsam, blue spruce, and Canaan, with trees up to 8 feet tall.
We also have pre-cut Fraser Firs available, reaching heights of up to 12 feet.
Santa is scheduled to visit from 10am to 4pm.

Fun facts about Douglas Firs:
Douglas firs are tall, majestic evergreen conifers known for their fire resistance and ability to live for over 1,000 years. They are Oregon's state tree, can grow over 250 feet tall, and are named after botanist David Douglas. Key features include their soft, flat needles, resinous bark, and unique cones with three-pointed bracts that stick out between the scales.

We have these in the fields and open again December 6 and 8 from 9 to 5!

Fun fact of the day: The FRASER fir, commonly misspelled, was named for John Fraser, a Scottish botanist who explored the Southern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina in the late 1700's. It is a pyramid-shaped tree that reaches a maximum height of 80 feet and a trunk diameter of 1-1/2 feet. 🌲

The FRASER fir grows naturally only in the Southern Appalachians, above 3,000 feet. The cool temperatures and excessive amounts of rainfall of the North Carolina High Country are what causes the Fraser fir to keep its needles throughout the Christmas season.
