Step right up for National School Lunch Week! 🎪

We are celebrating October 12th–16th with a circus-themed NSLW! Come join the fun in our cafeterias as we celebrate the important role school lunch plays in helping students learn, grow, and thrive.

At all primary buildings, one student from each grade level each day will be randomly selected each day to win a small circus prize and a treat! 🎟️

The National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children every school day. President John F. Kennedy established National School Lunch Week in 1962 to highlight the importance of healthy school lunches—both in and beyond the classroom.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🎠

Exciting News for Shaler Area Primary Schools! 🎉

We are excited to announce that our Shaler Area Primary Schools will be starting À La Carte program for students in K–4!

This is a great opportunity for our students to enjoy something additional with their lunch, giving our buyers and packers a few more Smart Snack compliant choices to enjoy during their school day!

Please keep in mind that there may be some adjustments or differences between each primary building based on decisions and needs specific to each Primary and its staff.

As we continue to work through the details, we will be sure to share any additional information, updates, or changes with families and our school community.

If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to review the attachments, and we’ll be happy to share further information as it becomes available.

NUTRITION FOR LIFE IS COMING TO SHALER AREA!

🍎🥕

Calling all Shaler Area Kindergarteners and families!

We’re excited to announce Nutrition For Life is happening in the Shaler Area Cafeterias:
October 7–9!

This special 3-day event is all about introducing our youngest students to the delicious, nutritious meals available through our school lunch program and what better time to do it than LUNCHTIME!

Here’s what’s in store for our Kindergarteners:

- Enjoy a FREE nutritious lunch each day, October 7–9!
-Discover a new sweet treat each day when you participate in lunch!
-Students who participate all 3 days will have a chance to win one of our small prizes through a special raffle!

Most importantly, we hope to see lots of happy faces making their way through the cafeteria line!
Packers are encouraged to join in, too! 💙

If you’re a student who normally packs lunch, stop through the lunch line with your peers and enjoy a FREE lunch during NFL week!

At TNG, we believe good nutrition helps students stay focused, learn, and grow. 🌱 That’s our main focus every day as we provide healthy, delicious and tastful meals to our students.

This is a small but meaningful way for us to introduce our lunch program to our youngest students and show them just how tasty school lunch can be!
