🥗 End of Summer Salads 🥗

My favorite time of the year in the Midwest is late Summer. Look at all of the farmers market salads I’ve made in the past couple of weeks. Absolutely fantastic!!

Start with the freshest ingredients and add your favorite grilled protein. A simple vinaigrette is all you need (make your own using Old Town Oil ). Beyond easy and sooo great.

🥔 Smash Potatoes with Talo 🥔

Instead of using oil or butter, I tried beef Talo for my smash potatoes and it was amazing!!! Such rich deep flavor and beyond easy to use. Thanks Nacho Fuentes for sharing this with me!!

🥂 Scenes from Saturday Night 🥂

This is how I love to entertain. Great friends, great food, great sunsets and great wine. Late August entertaining is the best in Chicago.

The Henry at Plaza del Lago is fantastic. We are so lucky to have this new restaurant in our backyard! I might have ordered the club sandwich a bit too many times this summer. It is the best around. And the spritz’s? Love them. What a great way to celebrate back to school!!
