To our friends, we are sorry to report that the strawberry crop this year did not fair so well. However, a small portion did well and customers visiting the store may be pleasantly surprised one day to see some in there. We do still have some amazing strawberry plants already in bloom for sale to bring home and plant in your very own garden 😊

Happy Spring everyone, happy to announce the store is currently open, we are selling eggs and plants for the garden. We have some cold crop plants outside the store and inside some tomato plants and more. We have begun planting cold crops and getting ready for to growing season! See you all soon! ☀️🍅

Happy Saturday everyone!! You still have plenty of time to stop in and pick up pumpkins and corn stalks for your fall decorating needs. While there make sure to stock up on some fresh veggies, eggs, and dont forget a sweet treat of Smiths Orchard Pies and Apple cider donuts (Available after 10am)

Its officially soup season. Try one of my new favorite soup recipies that I made with fresh Broccoli, Carrots, and onions from the farm :)

Recipie of the day: Cheddar Broccoli 🥦 Soup 🍲

-1/4 cup of butter
-1/2 medium onion chopped
-1/4 cup of flour
-2 cups of half and half or heavy cream
-2 cups of chicken broth
-3 cups Broccoli Florettes
-1 cup of carrots sliced in matchsticks
-1/4 tsp nutmeg
-8 Oz of sharp shredded cheddar
-Salt and pepper

1. Melt the 1/4 cup butter and sautee the onions in the butter until soft. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
2. Whisk in the half & half and chicken stock. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium.
3. Add the broccoli and carrots. Cook over medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes or until the broccoli and carrots are tender.
4. Add salt and pepper. Add the cheese. If your heat is too high your soup can get grainy. I left mine on low to melt the cheese. Stir in the nutmeg if desired.
4. Serve with crust bread for dipping
