Popcorn, this adorable calf, was born three nights ago. Unfortunately, her mother, Azalea has developed mastitis. This is not the first time Azalea has had mastitis, and unfortunately, both of her previous calves did not survive.

In the past, I separated the calves, treated Azalea, and bottle-fed the calf. However, this time, we are taking a different approach. Instead of separating the calf, I will go out into the pasture twice a day and bottle-feed her. I am grateful for the help of those who have been around to assist us.

Today marks day three, and it is already a bit easier. We are gradually building trust between Azalea and the calf and I.
