Granola restock this afternoon at the Mercantile on Broadway!

The Strawberry Chocolate Chip Granola was such a hit last time that I made a little extra for this restock. If you missed your chance to taste it when it was being sampled two weeks ago, there will be a limited amount of samples available this round!

I’m also restocking the Maple Pecan Granola in two sizes: a 4oz smaller personal snack size and the regular 8oz size. Limited samples of that one will be available too.

Find them at the Mercantile on Broadway in Glenwood, AR while they last!

Jalapeño, Greek pepperoncini, anaheim, banana, and habanero are the varieties (in no particular order).

Free-range and fabulous! Restocked at the Mercantile on Broadway in Glenwood.

These small eggs are from the brand new layers in our flock. While our OG layers have taken a break these young gals have been taking up the slack.

Their eggs may be smaller—about the size of a chicken egg—but don't let that get you bummed. They still pack all the rich flavor and nutritional punch as the larger ones

If you've been wanting to try duck eggs, these are a great place to start!

Our little bit of garden surplus just got dropped off at the Mercantile on Broadway!

Okra, heirloom slicer tomatoes, grape tomatoes, Armenian cucumbers (no peeling, tender skin, clean cucumber flavor, and a unique look), Rampicante zucchini (mature and young) habanero peppers, and Delicata squash!

Also brought in some fresh duck eggs!

Fresh produce for the Mercantile on Broadway! It's a humble amount compared to what we were bringing to the Farmers Market, but it's just as fresh and delicious!

This batch will be available at the Mercantile tomorrow, Saturday, from open to close, 9am-4pm.

I'll stock my surplus there when I have any, and I will post a list of what I drop off each week that I do. Their hours are Thursday and Friday 10am-5:30pm and Sat 9am-4pm.

• Farmhouse Original (nut-free)

While you're there, be sure to check out our farm-fresh Herb Finishing Salts and Habanero Pepper Finishing Salt, all herbs and peppers are grown right on the homestead!

Duck eggs are in abundance and available by pre-order. I won't be keeping them stocked at the Mercantile unless there's enough demand—I want to make sure you're always getting the freshest eggs possible.

What do YOU do when you end up with an abundance of eggs?

I make pasta!

And that fancy little electric pasta maker has made it almost too easy. This afternoon I mixed up both durum and whole wheat doughs to make batches of linguini, spaghetti, and even pumpkin gnocchi. The pasta is dehydrating and the gnocchi is headed for the freezer.

Pasta is just one of our favorite ways to turn a surplus of duck eggs into something we use all the time. We eat A LOT of pasta!

A few other ways we like to use up our extra eggs are crepes, Dutch-baby pancakes, and big batches of scrambled eggs for make-ahead frozen breakfast burritos or sausage and egg biscuits.

I'd love to hear your favorite ways to use up extra eggs. Maybe you'll give us our next kitchen project!

Look at those speckled beans! They are so pretty!

We don't grow a lot of dry beans, but we like to do some and this mix has been so rewarding to shell. Christmas Pole Lima, 1500yr Old Cave, and Cranberry beans. Been harvesting these throughout the season and we have at least a few meals-worth put away.
