It’s unfortunate that this is my first post on social media in a long while, my apologies.
First I want to thank all of you so much for supporting my microgreen business! I have decided to close up FlavorFull by the end of the month and am choosing a new path for the new year. I do consider this to have been a success and I definitely learned a lot, but there are aspects that just aren’t meshing with my season of life. I appreciated every order and encouraging words, and had fun participating in the local farmers market and meeting you all in person.

For those who buy my microgreens at Mustard Seed Natural Market, we have worked it out so that there should be no interruption between my last delivery on the 18th and the microgreens supplier from Newport News that will take over.

Gloucester Farmers Market cancelled- microgreens available!

Please contact me if you would like to buy some. Even more than the loss of revenue I don’t want these to go to waste. Unlike other products I can’t set these aside to sell next week or next month; they were grown specifically for the market.

Red Amaranth

I will be posting locations/times in the comments later today of when I will be available tomorrow-Monday to meet up and sell the microgreens in Gloucester. I would also encourage you all to go anytime to Mustard Seed Natural Market in Hayes to buy microgreens (I can always restock their inventory).

Whoo! 🎉 Sold out at the market today. Was a slow start, busy middle, and last sale squeaked in in the last 5 minutes.

Look at those tendrils! 😍 Growing a new variety of pea, and dropped off a couple containers at Mustard Seed Natural Market in Hayes. They are smaller than what I’ve had before, but the same fresh crunch and with those beautiful tendrils. They are good as a snack on their own or dipped in hummus or ranch, they can top a salad for a fresh crunch, or they can be stir fried.

Step one of the cleaning process! Getting all the mats of coir, roots, and stems, out of the trays and divided between our chickens and compost. I prefer the mesh trays for growing but it does mean we have to scrape the roots off for most varieties.

Once this is done, I spray the trays down with a hose to get any remaining debris off, then spray with ZeroTol to sanitize the trays for the next use.

Great day at the Gloucester Farmers Market at Historic Ware Church! Thanks to everyone that came out and supported local businesses.

Though I may only be at the market once a month, I do weekly deliveries to Mustard Seed Natural Market in the White Marsh shopping center, in Hayes. Drop offs are on Thursdays, so you can get fresh microgreens weekly!

Top off your salads, add a bit to a sandwich, throw a handful into a smoothie….it has a very mild taste. High in sulforaphane, which has been linked to heart health, anti cancer properties, and improved digestion.
