ATTENTION PLEASE! We'd love to hear from you, our valued friends/visitors from past years at Green Hand Farm Park. We're considering re-opening the Farm Park at our own farm in Warsaw, VA for the fall 2021 season.

OUR QUESTION TO YOU: Would you come? Would you be willing to visit us at a new location? It's a little over an hour north from our past location, approximately an hour from Richmond and Fredericksburg.

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR ALL OUR BELOVED PATRONS:

It is with great sadness we are announcing that after 10 years, we are permanently closing the gates of Green Hand Farm Park. It has been a very difficult year for us. After my accident at the farm last October, I was left paralyzed from the waist down but had planned to continue operation of the Farm Park this fall. Unfortunately, the owners of the property have decided to sell the land and have discontinued the lease agreement for the property.

It has been difficult to accept that we will not be able to continue operations of this business in which we have invested so much love. Green Hand Farm Park has been the most fun project of my life. Seeing the thousands of patrons enjoying their families and friends here year after year has made my heart swell with pride and joy. We have enjoyed watching children and adults laugh and smile as they bumped along on our barrel trains, jumped around on our giant bounce pillow, shot at zombies, and enjoyed our many other rides and attractions. We’ve treasured watching the delight of families as they pick the perfect pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. We enjoyed all the school groups, church groups, scout groups, and families that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

We are appreciative to all who have made these past 10 years possible. In addition to our patrons, we’ve also a had a wonderful group of staff throughout the years, a creative team that has painted our wonderful themed hay bales each year (Michael & Brandi Guinn) and managed our marketing (Audra Jon Hoover Creative Services), and The Maize Company network of farmers we’ve been a part of the last several years.

So my friends, it is with great remorse and sorrow that my wife and I must say goodbye. You all were the best guests anyone could ask for and we shall truly miss each and every one of you. May God bless you all as he has blessed me all these years.

Hello, all! It’s been a few months since we shared an update on Farmer Dave. As many of you know, he had an accident at the farm in October that resulted in a serious spinal injury. We are very glad to report that David returned home from the Shepherd Center in Atlanta on January 22nd and he has been working on adapting and getting around. Once again, we just want to say how thankful we are for the overwhelming support and encouragement we’ve received from all of you – our customers, friends, family, church, and the wonderful staff at the Shepherd Center. Once again, David is thinking about the farm and is enthusiastic about the next season!

UPDATE ON FARMER DAVE: David has personally requested that we thank everyone who has written notes and been praying for him during his time of recovery from the accident that occurred in October. He has been very touched by the outpouring of love during this very difficult time. He is still at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for rehab for his spinal cord injury. He continues to make progress but it will be a continued journey and time of adjustment for he and his family in the coming months.
