Last races for the year for us. Let's go out with a bang!

Bittersweet day.

I said goodbye to five of the best-bred broodmares in the state—mares that represent years of hard work, determination, and dedication, from the racetrack to the breeding barn.

I made the decision not to sell them domestically. It’s difficult to watch an industry I’ve poured so much into be undermined by jealousy, ignorance, greed, and dishonesty. There comes a point where you have to stand by what you’ve built.

That said, this is not the end—just a pause. I’ll take some time to reset and come back stronger, likely returning to the Thoroughbred or Quarter Horse side when the time is right.

I didn’t expect it to hit me as hard as it did watching those girls leave, but there was definitely a lump in my throat. They’ve meant a lot to me.

Wishing their new owner in the UAE the very best. I look forward to seeing their offspring flying down the track in the years ahead.

WMA Wild Kisses is really coming into her own as a 4-year-old in 2026. The chestnut filly (RB Wild Card x Blowing Kissis) kicked off her sophomore season with her first career victory in her 13th lifetime start. Then fourth, then second, and she won again on Friday at Sam Houston Race Park in Texas in an 11-1 upset in a 6 1/2-furlong allowance race. Believe it or not we are more than halfway through the Sam Houston race meet. At the end of the meet I will have two geldings for sale suitable for endurance.
