The Farm Stand at Hope Springs

You may have noticed a few horseshoes lying around when visiting the farm stand. Here’s something you may not know about us… My husband Josh (Becca’s brother) is a highly certified farrier. He’s been doing this job that he loves for over 20 years and has the privilege of being the TPFA Contest Coordinator.

If you’re looking for something a little different to do with the family this weekend, come on out to the Texas Professional Farriers Association 45th Annual Forging and Shoeing Contest!

Friday will be shoe building classes. Saturday will be live-shoeing—saddle horses in the morning and 4-man team draft horses in the afternoon (Josh will be competing in this one!). It’s FREE to attend and awesome to watch some of the top farriers in the country push each other to never stop learning and to continue sharpening their skills in this vital trade!

We also have a Farm Stand vendor booth set up with Cinnamon Rolls, Pumpkin Scones, and 5 varieties of giant, bakery-style cookies- Pumpkin Snickerdoodle, Maple Brown Sugar, Ginger Molasses, Peanut Butter Sandwich, and Salted Brown Butter Chocolate Chip.

A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to all who stopped by Saturday’s farm stand!!! Y’all blew us away! Out of all of the fresh-baked items we made, we ended the day with just 3 individual cookies left! We loved visiting with you all and we are so grateful for this sweet community, for friends we’ve known for years and new friends we just met this week.
Slowed down, country mornings with time to sit and visit, and providing real-food options for our wonderful community is exactly what we hoped for this little farm stand.
We appreciate you all! ❤️❤️❤️

They’re baaack! 🍂 I was able to get just a few made up in time to make it into the farm stand tomorrow morning. Who else is ready for fall smells without the chemicals? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Stovetop Potpourri, aka simmer pots, are my absolute favorite way to make my home smell cozy and homey!

As we head into the holiday season, our schedule is going to look a little different! This Saturday will be 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, and then we’ll be switching things up for November and December with a few special holiday dates. 🌾

Squeeeeeeeel!! New layer alert! 😍😍😍 The chicks we hatched out last spring are giving us their first eggs this week. I am TRILLED with the new color! WOOHOO!! Egg production should be amping back up from our other layers as well with cooler temps on the horizon, which means we should have more eggs to offer in the farm stand soon. YAY!! 🎉😃🥚🍳🎉
