We’ve had an uptick in trespassing lately, and while we understand that due to the nature of what we do we’ll have some of this, it’s getting out of hand. Every year we have a couple instances, with people doing everything from coming to steal strawberries to riding their vehicles and four wheelers down our river trail (and getting stuck), to having fires and leaving trash. However just in the last week we’ve had 2 instances where someone decided to take their sedan joyriding on the farm years and another where a 4-wheeler rider thought we were the next Busco Beach.
We kindly ask you to not trespass. We realize that the people doing this don’t care and don’t think it’s a big deal, but it is to us. You could destroy crops that won’t recover, create messes that someone else has to clean up, start fires that get out of hand, or worst of all you could get hurt and with no one knowing you are there could lay there for hours before you are found. Plus we realize they think no one will notice, but we do, we just don’t always address it publicly. Not only do we have amazing neighbors, JR sees everything.
You may notice some new signage up around the farm. We know this won’t really stop anyone, but if we need to prosecute in the future it may help our case, and we will if it comes to that. This doesn’t mean our guests are any less welcome, it just is an added layer of protection for us.
Finally we want to thank the folks who support us by respecting our rules and open hours. We always say we have the best friends and customers, and we’ll continue to say it. Thank you for your support!
PS: if you are going to purchase a 4 wheeler/ATV for your child (or yourself!) and you don’t have land to ride it on please commit to taking them somewhere to ride it on, or don’t purchase it!!Random farmers fields are not just there for you to ride on without permission!!
