Maple Ridge Farm is a full-service premier equestrian facility located in northwest Goldsboro (Rosewood), North Carolina, in Wayne County; owned and operated by Nathan & Laura Smith. MRF was originally established in 2002 in Johnston County, moved to Wayne County in 2017, and continues to grow and expand with the equine industry. We offer a wide array of equine services, veterinary services (through MRMVS), hay sales, MagnaWave, beef, and Mini Aussie puppies!

🌱🍂 Fall gardening is still underway at Maple Ridge Farm! And of course we had the best helpers 🐾

We finally found some quiet time to spend in the garden and finished prepping our greenhouse with fresh seeds for a fall and winter harvest! 🥬🥕

We also have lettuce, spinach, carrots, and beets growing outside in our raised beds!

And check out that BEAUTIFUL soil! 😍🌿 It came straight from our pastures, where we compost manure and used bedding. All-natural, nutrient-rich compost made right here on the farm! ♻️🐴

Happy 6th Birthday to our sweet Ava girl! 🥳🐾💕

Our adventurous, fun-loving, full-of-life girl celebrated her special day doing ALL of her favorite things! 🚤☀️ Boating, exploring the sandbar, spotting dolphins (and jelly fish!), swimming, eating pizza, enjoying yummy chews, and playing with new toys! 🏝️🍕🦴

It’s so hard to believe our little 2020 fur baby is already SIX! 🥹❤️ She has brought more love, laughter, and joy into our lives than we could ever imagine. Life is so much sweeter with our Ava girl in it!

We love you to pieces, sweet girl! Here’s to many more adventures together! 🐶💗

Sunday dinner done RIGHT! 🥘🤤

Our Maple Ridge Farm 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef osso bucco made the perfect Sunday meal! Slow-cooked until fall-off-the-bone tender, rich in flavor, and absolutely delicious!

🥩 What exactly is osso bucco? It’s a cross-cut beef shank with a marrow-filled bone in the center. This cut is naturally rich in collagen and connective tissue, which break down during slow cooking to create incredibly tender, flavorful meat and a rich, silky broth. The bone marrow adds even more depth and richness to the dish!

Osso bucco is perfect for braising low and slow with broth, vegetables, herbs, and seasonings. It’s one of those underrated cuts that transforms into a gourmet meal with a little patience! 👏🏼

We’re taking our homegrown, farm-raised, organically fed chicken one step further by grinding our own ground chicken! 👏🏼

Ground chicken is SO versatile! It’s perfect for tacos, casseroles, pasta dishes, and so much more. You can even mix it with our grass-fed, grass-finished ground beef or lamb to make some absolutely delicious burgers and meatballs!

We love finding new ways to further process the meat we raise right here on our farm. No mystery ingredients, no unnecessary additives—just wholesome, farm-raised meat!
