Our Story
Established in 1891 in the heart of the central Texas hill country by Claiborne Hobbs Koen and his wife Angelina Prudence Dunlap Koen “The Place” has been our family’s source of homegrown & all natural foods for six generations. The Koen Family Farm and Ranch produces and sells grass fed beef & lamb, pasture-raised eggs & pork, and seasonal fruits & vegetables.
All of our cattle and sheep are raised on the same native range grasses that have been producing rich, flavorful meat for generations of Texans, and our pigs and chickens are supplemented with non-soy/corn/gmo pellet feed. None are given steroids, growth hormones, or antibiotics. Ask us about our unique breeds and organically principled production practices!
