We combine conventional aquaculture (raising fish) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water), in a symbiotic closed loop environment. Sustained Harvest Farms aquaponic growing system uses little land, doesn’t require soil fertility or even soil, has little or no net water use, uses far less energy than farming in the ground, is more productive for the same area, produces protein and vegetables, is certifiable organic, and is movable if designed properly.
