May was an absolute whirl wind, between finishing up on getting the crop in, branding calves, breeding heifers, implanting recip cows, and finishing the month off with breeding the cows! Several outcross sires used this year! Really looking forward to these progeny. Cows are out to pasture and crop is planted…..now we are just desperately praying for rain! 🙏

Between lots of farming the Heifers got freeze branded and are synchronized to start breeding this weekend! Thanks Flying H Livestock services with the branding help!

We got one group of calves branded last Saturday. The crew braved the wind 💨 and we were done in just a couple hours! These calves are out of the registered bunch and were some of the first calves on the ground. They are some lookers already!

Farming commenced for us on April 10th. Tyler started by rolling in some hay barley. We have since gotten the hay barley, peas, and oats in the ground. We are nearing completion of the durum. Which will then leave us with mustard, spring wheat, corn, sunflowers and cover crop. We sure like to keep things colorful around here! Hope everyone is having a great planting season!
