“Didn’t I catch you eating something other than beef?” 🥩🚔

The Beef Patrol was officially on duty at Shiner Night Out last night—and this little officer means business! 😂👮🏼‍♂️

We had such a fun evening and are so thankful for our Shiner community and all of the law enforcement, first responders, local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and everyone who works hard to make Shiner Night Out such a special event for our families. We love getting to come together and support the people who make this community feel like home. ❤️

Now consider this your official warning… eat more beef. 😉🥩

Tenderloin filets don’t need much. 🥩🔥

A hot cast iron, a little seasoning, some butter and a few minutes is all it takes to turn these Bowman Farms Beef tenderloin filets into a pretty dang good dinner.

And apparently the hardest part is letting them rest without someone trying to steal one. 😂 Peep Hannah waiting very patiently… or not so patiently. ❤️

We’ve shared a lot of the behind-the-scenes lately - from our cattle and feeding operation to processing, packaging and getting our labels on the beef - but we figured it was about time we showed y’all what all that work looks like on the dinner table.

We’re putting the final touches on the Bowman Farms Beef website now, and if everything stays on track, our beef should be ready to order within the next couple of weeks! 👏🏼

WE HAVE OUR LABELS ON MEAT!!! 🥩🤎

There’s something pretty special about seeing Bowman Farms Beef officially on these ribeyes for the first time.

What started as a lot of conversations, ideas, planning, cattle checking, processing days, packaging decisions and behind-the-scenes work is starting to look a whole lot more real. And we have to say… these ribeyes are looking pretty dang good. 😍

We’re getting closer and closer to being able to send Bowman Farms Beef from our family to yours, and we are so excited to bring y’all along for every step of it.

Yesterday was an exciting day behind the scenes for Bowman Farms Beef! 🥩📦

After asking y’all what you’d like to see from us, we’ve been taking that feedback & working through all the little details to make it happen.

I was in Houston yesterday and picked up several insulated cooler box sizes from one of Maeker's Sausage & Processing vendors so we can compare them and determine which cuts - and how much beef - we’ll be able to safely ship in each size.

I did feel a little silly backing the big mom car up to the loading dock 😂 but thankfully Dad was on pickup duty, because by the time I was done there definitely wasn’t room left for two kids in car seats!

Then this morning, Hannah and LT were SO excited to help Momma unload everything while repeating their classic line: “Teamwork! Work together!” 😂

And honestly, that pretty much sums up this season of Bowman Farms Beef - lots of teamwork, lots of behind-the-scenes planning, and lots of excitement as we get closer to launch.

You gave us the feedback — now we’re doing the homework. 😉🥩📦

Did You Know? The rib section is where ribeye and prime rib both come from. The difference isn't the cut itself, just how it's prepared.

Prime rib is roasted whole; ribeye is sliced into individual steaks before cooking. 🥩

But have you ever wondered why beef hangs? And what is “hanging”?

This is one of those behind-the-scenes parts of beef production that most people never get to see.

After harvest, the beef is chilled under controlled conditions. During this time, natural processes take place within the muscle as it transitions to meat. Proper chilling and aging play an important role in developing the tenderness, texture and eating quality we’re looking for before the beef is ultimately cut and packaged.

For Bowman Farms Beef, this part of the process happens with our processing partner, Maeker's Sausage & Processing right here in Shiner, Texas.

One of the things we’re most excited about with Bowman Farms Beef is bringing y’all along for the whole story — beyond raising and feeding the cattle, through processing, and eventually all the way to the steak on your dinner table.

Because there’s a whole lot more that goes into a ribeye than what you see in the meat case. 😉

And these Bowman Farms cattle are officially one step closer. 🥩
