****** JuJu's Rub History ******
For any of you that haven’t tried JuJu’s Rub yet, here is a description of what the seasoning blend is about. My mom (aka - JuJu) created this recipe 20 years ago as a steak rub with lower sodium than what you could find available in stores. (This product contains 1/3 of the salt used in other rubs and seasoning blends) With her career in teaching culinary arts, she was able to come up with this unique blend of spices to help accent the flavor of the steak it was applied to. After years of experimenting with the ingredients and proportions, she had perfected the blend to be used on any type of meat you would want to cook. Over the years, we all began to experiment with JuJu’s Rub by using it on other foods and realized it is amazing on anything we have ever put it on. Try it on chicken, fish, beef, pork, deer, duck, turkey, brisket, ribs, etc. It even tastes great on sandwiches, popcorn, pasta, baked chicken, frozen pizza, tuna fish, pretzels, watermelon, fried/scrambled eggs, steamed veggies, beans, etc. I even add it to my dry batter when frying fish. You literally can’t go wrong using it on anything you can think of. This product does not contain any artificial ingredients. Most rubs and seasonings use Silica or something comparable to keep the product from clumping up and getting hard, but JuJu’s Rub does not have any of those harmful chemicals. This product will need to be shaken well before each use to help keep the ingredients well suspended within the container. It is recommended to keep in a cool dry place to avoid clumping inside the container.
I personally hand blend each batch with the freshest spices from my kitchen to keep her true southern love of cooking instilled in this product so supplies can be limited but made fresh to order!
