I know it’s been way too long since we posted last, but we’re excited to announce our sweet Millie girl had her first piglets!! We have 4 black and 2 pinks. They are 7/8 Kune Kune and 1/8 Meishan. She has been the best mama and we haven’t had to do any interference with her sweet babies. To say Bella Rae is the most excited is an understatement.

Since our fox problem has just gotten worse, we’re so thankful for family (including the 🐶) to take care of our new chicks and let them grow in her basement before we transfer them to our big coop! Working on a more secure area and can’t wait to see these sweet babies grow.

Now that our last chicken processing weekend for the year is behind us, we are excited to plan for next year.

As much as we enjoy growing and raising our birds we look forward to a few months off and to focus on improving on our process and how to help others.

Maybe processing classes for people interested, maybe selling at markets, and maybe offering processing services for people that are interested in raising meat birds that don’t want to deal with the hassles of processing the birds out.
