Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery is a water-conscious, biologically friendly farm brewery carefully crafting unique and innovative beers. Lickinghole stewards the land for wildlife habitat, and on 50 acres LCCB grows hops, barley, herbs and spices for use in our Estate Series of beers. We brew with well water drawn from the deep. Our wastewater is purified on site and returned to the Lickinghole Cr

eek watershed. Our name pays homage to Little Lickinghole Creek, which runs through the farm’s rolling hills. Since precolonial times the creek has been known as the Lickinghole where wildlife stopped to drink from the nourishing waters. May the tradition continue.

Blueberry Obsession Chocolate Stout is on tap. Funny story…In a comedy of errors, Lickinghole Creek’s blueberry field of 500 blueberry bushes was all bushhogged down many years ago. The plants had just reached maturity. I was so upset, but sometimes life surprises you, and these bushes have grown back stronger. In a gift from nature, these resilient plants have regrown and will produce a sufficient supply for harvest this year. I need to brew a new blueberry honorary Phoenix ale to honor their survival against all odds. Perhaps the Source Blueberry IPA should make a return?

Strike Gold! Enjoy our new Virginia Gold Hazy Session IPA on tap this weekend. Virginia’s gold was mined in the 1800’s in Goochland County. The Gold-Pyrite Belt runs through the piedmont, through Goochland County, through the ground beneath our feet.

We didn’t name this beer just for aesthetics. We named it for history.

Virginia Gold is a Hazy Session IPA dry-hopped with Azacca, El Dorado, and Lotus. Mango. Stone fruit. Passionfruit. Watermelon. Tropical and layered, brewed on the granite-filtered well water that makes every LCCB beer taste like this place.

Brewed in gold country. Worth the find.
