The Dapper Fox Meadery

The vineyard is coming along nicely! Can’t wait to start seeing the grapes mature over the next few weeks.

This weekend was vine replacement day in the vineyard. Like any living plant, grapevines don’t last forever — sometimes they need to be replaced due to age, reduced production, winter damage, or disease.

New vines are planted as bare-root stock, which at first looks like nothing more than a lifeless stick with roots attached. But nature works fast this time of year, and within just a few days we’ll start seeing new life emerge from them.

What is a meadery… and what is mead?
A meadery is like a winery—but for honey. Our primary ingredient is honey, much of which comes from our own bees, and we combine it with a wide variety of fruits and spices to create something truly unique. We use a lot of our own fruit, along with fruit from our neighbors and other local sources right here in Minnesota. The result is mead—the most delicious drink you’ve likely never had.

Try it once… and you’ll get it.

Order online today or reach out to coordinate local pickup or delivery—we’d love to get a bottle in your hands.

We are officially open!

After years of hard work, planning, and navigating regulatory hurdles, we’re excited to finally share our meads with you.

As we get things up and running, here are a few things to know:
- Online sales only at this time
- Bottle sales only (no tasting room just yet)
- Local delivery in Southeast Minnesota (generally along the Hwy 52 corridor from Cannon Falls to Preston)
- Pickup available at our rural Goodhue winery production facility (by appointment)

All orders are placed through VinoShipper using the link below.

We do have plans to open an on-site tasting room and expand shipping more broadly in the future, but for now we’re starting here as we get things off the ground and dial everything in.

We truly appreciate your support and look forward to getting our mead into your hands!
